Fortnite: What Is Freaky Flights? How To Earn Cosmic Summer Rewards

A new Fortnite Battle Royale LTM has arrived. Learn about it here!

Epic Games has done an excellent job recognizing the hard work of others in Fortnite’s Creative Mode. Many talented map makers have had their work featured in the game’s selection screen. As a result, creative designers have made it a goal to construct something unique in hopes of catching Epic’s attention.

A creator named Senix can safely add himself to that list after working on Freaky Flights, a fun airborne Limited Time Mode (LTM) for all to experience.

What is “Freaky Flights”?

Epic Game first released a trailer via Fortnite’s official Twitter account. It depicts a completely flooded landscape with X-4 Stormwings flying overhead. Two teams spawn on giant aircraft carriers located on opposite sides of the map. The goal is for each squad to battle using planes, turrets and explosives. You can queue into the mode via Fortnite’s game mode selection screen or by entering the code below:

Cosmic Summer Rewards

While the spin on Air Royale is undoubtedly a fun experience, there’s more at stake than just winning. Players can complete three challenges by playing, all of which yield an in-game Cosmic Summer item.

Here is a complete list of quests and what cosmetics they yield when completed:

  • Travel 5,000 meters in X-4 Stormwing in Freaky Flights - Brain Freeze Back Bling (Orangeberry)
  • Spend 50 coins to buy items at the vending machine in Freaky Flights - KA-BANG! Wrap
  • Eliminate 50 players while in an X-4 Stormwing in Freaky Flights - Cloud Llama Board Glider (Cloud Crew Board)

Fortnite’s Cosmic Summer event will only last until July 5 at 11:59 PM ET. That means earning these exclusive in-game items now is the ideal strategy. Otherwise, you’ll be missing out on Epic’s always-interesting summer-themed cosmetics. What better way than to start with Freaky Flights?
