Tesla forced to recall over 285,000 cars in China

Tesla has been forced to recall more than 285,000 cars in China due to concerns about the cruise control system.

Elon Musk's firm has hit a bump in the road after Chinese regulators found that the system accidentally activated in some models and caused the vehicle to accelerate unintentionally.

A total of 35, 665 imported Model 3's and 249,855 Model 3 and Model Y cars made at their Gigafactory in Shanghai plant.

In an apology issued over the weekend, Tesla insisted they “strictly follow national regulations and keep improving our safety protection.”

Meanwhile, Musk recently insisted Tesla would be shut down if his company was being used to spy on China.
