Alexandra Burke's 'biggest goal' is to have family

Alexandra Burke's "biggest goal" is to marry and have children.

The 'Broken Heels' hitmaker refused to confirm speculation she is dating footballer Darren Randolph but admitted she's currently "happy and content" with her personal life and is looking ahead to settling down in the future.

She said: "I am very happy and content with my work life ad with my personal life and I couldn't be happier.

"For me, ultimately, the biggest goal in life would be to have my own family and to be married and be happy."

The 32-year-old singer has stopped taking the contraceptive pill because she doesn't want to fill her body with hormones, but insisted that doesn't mean she's ready to have children now.

She told Closer magazine: "Not yet! When the time is right, if it happens, it happens, but at the minute my priority is work."

Since ditching the pill last October, Alexandra has never felt better.

She said: "I wanted my body to be completely, 100 per cent pure, free of hormones. It's reacting better without it. I'm eating healthy, my body's feeling like it's the best I've ever been."

The former 'X Factor' champion is currently in the best shape of her life but more important to Alexandra than looking good as a result is knowing she's gone some way to reduce her chances of contracting diabetes, which runs in her family.

She said: "In the past five or six months I've been in the best shape of my life and felling the best with my body, but the benefits go beyond what I look like because this will reduce the risk of me developing Type 2 diabetes."
