While the 2021 NFL season is still months away, it is never too early to prepare for the fantasy season. Whether it’s research, mock drafts, or going with your gut, everyone has a way to prepare for their fantasy drafts. However, this isn’t another article to help you prepare for the fantasy season. Today, I am going to give three bold fantasy predictions for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021.

John Brown Finishes as a Top-36 Wide Receiver
Last season, Nelson Agholor led all the wide receivers on the team in targets, receiving yards, touchdowns, and fantasy points. In the offseason, the New England Patriots signed him to a contract the Raiders were wise not to match. Instead, they signed the former Buffalo Bill to a one-year deal. Last season, Brown missed seven games because of injury. However, in 2019 as the Bills’ No. 1 wide receiver, Brown had a career year, averaging 14.7 fantasy points per game, finishing as the WR20. With Agholor in New England and the same unit of young wide receivers in Las Vegas, expect Brown to fill the No. 1 receiver role. He will turn into a weekly flex option for fantasy owners.
Darren Waller leads the League in Targets
Aside from Travis Kelce, Waller is arguably the best tight end in the NFL. Over the past two seasons, Waller had 197 catches on 262 targets for 2,341 yards and 12 touchdowns while averaging 15.6 fantasy points per game. Last season, Waller finished tied with Kelce with 145 targets, finishing tied for sixth-most in the league. Despite the additions of Agholor, Henry Ruggs, and others last offseason, Waller’s targets jumped 24 percent from 2019 to 2020. With Agholor in New England and the uncertainty around Ruggs and Bryan Edwards, Waller has a real shot to average over 10 targets a game this season and led the league.
Loading…##### Kenyan Drake Finishes Third on the Team in Catches
While the Arizona Cardinals didn’t use him in a pass-catching role last season, Drake has been productive in the passing game in his career. From 2017 to 2019, Drake caught 135 of 189 targets with six touchdowns in 46 games. Furthermore, Drake had 50 or more catches in two of those three seasons. Meanwhile, earlier this offseason, when the Raiders signed Drake, head coach Jon Gruden talked about playing Drake as a wide receiver. Josh Jacobs has been one of the best running backs since entering the league. With that in mind, expect Drake to play a critical role in the passing game and not be used as a pure running back. Don’t be shocked if Drake has a career year in the receiving game.
