Dota 2: All Teams Heading To TI 10 From The Qualifiers

Our quick summary of each team taking part in The International 10 through the regional qualifiers.

All the teams who didn't make the top 12 on the Dota Pro Circuit ranking went and fought their way up. With the regional qualifiers coming to an end, we have a clear picture of which teams won their respective regions and are going to play in TI 10. Only one team qualifies from each region so let’s look at a brief summary of their journey.

Undying - North America

Undying finished in 20th position on the DPC table. However, their run in the NA qualifiers was great. Although Undying has some space in terms of competition in the North American region, the team performed really well and consistently. The final match between 4Zoomers and Undying went right till the wire, where the latter won 3-2.

SG e-sports - South America

SG are sitting on the 25th spot on the DPC table. They have had some splendid games one was against Infinity who were a strong team beating NoPing e-sports. The final was against Team Unknown who were also playing some amazing Dota in the region. SG e-sports managed a convincing victory of 3-1 in the finals.

OG - Western Europe

The EU West region was by far the most competitive and difficult region in the qualifiers more so because two major teams could not make it to the top 12 and had to play qualifiers for TI 10. Team Nigma and OG were two sharks in a pond of fishes. Team Nigma first faced OG in the Upper Bracket Round 2 match, where OG won 2-1. Losing to Tundra Esports in the UB finals, OG played well to defeat Nigma 2-1 in the Lower Bracket. OG then made their way to the grand finals where they won 3-2 in a rematch against Tundra.

Team Spirit - Eastern Europe

The East European region offers its own challenges with many teams giving solid performances. With teams like Na’Vi, HellRaisers, Team Empire and Team Spirit in the mix, EU East was an interesting region to watch. It was Team Spirit at the end who kept their consistency and won 3-2 in the finals against Empire.

Elephant - China

China is a competitive region with decent teams. However, it was Elephant who made it out of the qualifiers against EHOME in a comfortable 3-1 victory. Placed 28th on the DPC table, Elephant were far away from the qualification zone, yet the team made it to the International which is impressive.

Fnatic - Southeast Asia

SEA was one of the most entertaining regions to watch among the regional qualifiers. The region is packed with talented teams like TNC Predator, Team SMG, BOOM Esports, OB Esports x Neon and Fnatic. The UB finals saw TNC lose to Fnatic 2-0 and compete in the LB to win against BOOM. TNC and Fnatic met again in the grand finals where Fnatic had a slight upper hand, defeating TNC 3-2.
