Everything You Need to Know About Battlefield Portal

Battlefield Portal brings the best experiences from previous games into the present day

Battlefield 2042 already has many fans excited months before launch. With its modern-day setting, massive maps and new features, Battlefield 2042 is set to be one of the best Battlefield experiences yet. Today, EA revealed Battlefield Portal, an experience that brings the best of prior games into 2042, allowing you to create custom modes.

What is Battlefield Portal?

Simply put, Battlefield Portal allows you to play with maps, weapons and vehicles from not only 2042, but Battlefield 1942, Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3. Marketed as a “love letter” to the Battlefield fans, BF Portal provides players with custom settings, modes and a logic editor, allowing them to create their own experiences.

What Content is Available?

Battlefield Portal provides content from three prior Battlefield matches, including Battlefield 2042. This allows the use of 40+ weapons, 30+ gadgets and 40+ vehicles. The available maps are:

  • Battle of the Bulge (BF 1942)
  • El Alamein (BF 1942)
  • Arica Harbor (Bad Company 2)
  • Valparaiso (Bad Company 2)
  • Caspian Border (BF 3)
  • Noshahr Canals (BF 3)

Battlefield Portal will be a part of Battlefield 2042, and you will not need a separate launcher for it. Along with this, hosting custom matches will be free, and not require any further installs.
