FORD BRONCO PRICE GOUGING: SELLERS ASKING SIX FIGURES FOR NEW SUV

As of the day of the Lord July 27, 2021, there are people on eBay who are reselling the revamped 2021 Ford Bronco for over $150,000 USD, pushing them outside of the pockets of just about everyone but Space Cowboy Jeff Bezos.

If you search Ford Bronco on eBay and filter by price, you’ll see Broncos marked “Pre-owned” with less than 500 miles on them up for sale at the $100,000 price point, higher than restored 1st gen versions which are also going for way too much, but that’s another article.

If the shoe market has proven anything, it’s that people will gladly pay a little bit more than MSRP for the latest styles, and if that’s your bag, then by all means jump in it. However, for more than the price of a home in Lansing, Michigan or a nice Class A motorhome, you might want to reconsider your priorities.

While the auto industry struggles with chip shortages, new vehicle prices have spiked as dealers haven’t been able to keep stock on their lots and luckily, no one has paid over 100k for the iconic off-roader. According to Motor1, the most one has sold for on the electronic bay has been just shy of $89,000.

Bronco Prices Should Stabilize

While it’s mind boggling that people are offering these 2021 Ford Bronco utility vehicles for so much over MSRP, it’s not entirely surprising. Ford has only just begun filling pre-orders and there’s no word yet on when the Bronco will be hitting showroom floors, but Ford is aiming to hit 160,000 units in 2022. Hopefully this will bring prices down more in line with the manufacturer’s suggestion, but as we’ve seen with the C8 Corvette, there’s bound to be a handful of opportunists looking to flip the Bronco for quite some time.

So, for now, the only people who can afford them are Bitcoin billionaires and the richest cue ball on the earth.
