CS:GO: Blast Partners With WePlay For Russian Broadcast

WePlay will look after the CIS Region for two whole years.


Blast has recently announced their partnership with tournament organizer WePlay Esports for broadcasting its CS:GO tournaments.

According to the contract, WePlay Esports will broadcast this year’s BLAST Premier Fall Groups. They will take place from September 16-26, Showdown from October 12-17, Final from November 24-28 and the World Final from December 14-19. Additionally, WePlay will also broadcast the entire 2022 season.

Alexander Lewin, VP of Distribution and Programming for BLAST shared his thoughts on the partnership. “We’re delighted to welcome WePlay Esports as our latest broadcast partner–with their extensive expertise in Counter-Strike production". He added, "WePlay Esports will help to bring the very best of BLAST Premier to Russia for the remainder of the 2021 season and beyond.”

Maksym Bilonogov, Chief Visionary Officer and General Producer at WePlay Esports also commented on the matter. “We at WePlay Esports recognize BLAST Premier as one of the best CS:GO circuits out there, which uses technology and creativity to deliver world-class entertainment. By and large, Blast has an enormous viewership from the CIS region. WePlay being one of the most popular names in the region makes a perfect match for the Counter-Strike league.
