Fortnite Battle Royale’s latest cosmetic crossover brings Gamora of Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” series into the equation. It’s certainly not surprising, considering the number of Marvel characters that have enjoyed the same recognition. Given Chapter 2 - Season 7’s alien invasion, the Gamora skin could not have come at a better time. Epic plans to release the complete set on August 14, but players can acquire it earlier in the Gamora Cup—a duos tournament with the outfit and back bling up for grabs. Format & Schedule
Like the Cammy Cup and other tournaments before it, the Gamora Cup utilizes the duos format. That means players of two can compete for a chance to win Gamora's outfit and back bling for free. It’s certainly not easy since competitive Fortnite houses insanely talented players. However, each of the game’s seven competitive regions has its own predetermined prize distribution. Entrants can compete in all of them if they choose, but in general, the goal is to earn points based on eliminations and placement to secure a high finish.
Here is the tournament format:
- The tournament goes live on August 11
- Three-hour session
- Players compete in a maximum of ten matches
- Highest-earning duos win Gamora Outfit & Back Bling
Scoring System
The scoring system remains consistent across all of the free skin cups hosted by Epic Games. Each game-winning duo adds 42 points to their total and eliminations are worth one point.

Prize Distribution
As previously stated, players across all seven Fortnite regions have a chance to win the Gamora set. The prize distribution ranges from 2.5K for Europe to 250 for OCE, Middle East and Asia. Teams that earn eight points will automatically win the “Daughter of Thanos” cosmetic spray as somewhat consolation.
