Fortnite Island Games Event — Play Creative Matches To Unlock Free Rewards

Epic Games is hosting another event where Fortnite players can earn free rewards for playing the game. Earlier today, the developers announced Best Friendzy with many in-game items available to unlock. Epic has taken that concept one step further after patch v17.50 with Fortnite’s inaugural Island Games event.

This event is separate from Best Friendzy and offers a spread of rewards for playing in various Limited-Time Modes (LTMs). Today, we’ll break down everything you need to know about the Island Games even and how you can unlock the in-game items.

What is the Fortnite Island Games Creative Event?

The Fortnite Team published a blog post earlier today but did not promote Island Games on its social media channels. Regardless, the blog post includes plenty of information to help players unlock the pickaxe and other cosmetics involved in the event.

Each LTM offers its own set of quests that players will need to complete. A total of 15 challenges will be available, of which you’ll need to complete nine to earn all of the rewards. Please note that Epic is not offering the Doodler weapon wrap despite it appearing in the blog post.

Some Island Games quests are available in-game now, and the rest will be released sequentially until September 8. Be sure to take advantage of the opportunity to unlock free rewards because the event likely won’t return once it ends.
