#WildWeeks returns with a new gimmick in Fortnite Chapter 2 - Season 7.
It’s Thursday, and that means another installment to Fortnite’s #WildWeeks event. Epic Games introduced this concept last season to highlight Fortnite’s dynamic in-game elements. Wild Weeks returned in Season 7 first to highlight suppressed weapons and then the game’s mobility options.
Wild Week 3 is upon us, and Fortnite is going high-tech. Players will experience an increase in Alien and IO tech for the next week. That means there will be no shortage of Rail Guns, Ray Guns, Pulse Rifles and more in casual playlists. Let’s dive into this Wild Week and see what Epic has to offer.
High Tech Weapons & Items Aplenty

Alien and IO tech take center-stage in week three of the recurring Wild Weeks event. According to Epic’s blog post, these weapons and items will be easier to find than ever. Abductors will only carry Alien weapons onboard and players will only gather IO weapons and items from the IO Chests. Additionally, you’ll discover Kymera Ray Gun, Pulse Rifle, and Rail Gun in normal chests.
Here’s a quick recap of where you can find the various futuristic weapons highlighted in Wild Week 3:
IO Chests Include:

Abductors Include:

Epic has teased one more Wild Week this season, which aligns with the anticipated Season 7 end date of September 12. We’ll have to see what comes next in week four and remember, you can earn XP in this week’s Legendary challenges. Those include dealing damage with IO or Alien weapons!
