Dota 2: A Deeper Look At The New Na'Vi

Na`Vi are one of the most popular Dota 2 teams in the world; they've just announced their new roster for the upcoming DPC Season but what can we expect?

Natus`Vincere are one of the oldest professional organizations in Dota 2 teams, over the years they've garnered many fans. Yet, despite the numerous roster changes, many of which took place in the last few years, Na`Vi still struggles to show their prowess.

Changes had to be made after another disappointing DPC season — with the team unable to qualify for TI 10. The squad's new roster will only include two players from the previous one. Alik “V-TUNE” Vorobey and Vladimir “ No[o]ne” Minenko will team up with fresh faces in order to prove that Na`Vi still has what it takes to be among the best.

The new faces

V-TUNE and No[o]ne will join forces with three of the best players in the CIS scene. One of them is the ex-VP captain Alexey “ Solo” Berezin. He is one of the few top players from the region that hasn’t played for Na’Vi before. Most people know him as one of the best support players a couple of years ago.

The second new addition to the team is the controversial player/streamer Ilya “ALOHADANCE” Korobki. Similar to Solo, Ilya hasn’t played for Na`Vi before, but he has proven himself in the professional teams. One of the big Dota 2 streamers will help Solo in the support role.

As for the offlane, the player that will try to prove himself once again is Viktor “GeneRaL” Nigrini. Most of you will probably recognize this name because he used to be a part of Na`Vi before. However, shortly after Danil “Dendi” Ishutin left the squad, GeneRaL decided to make a move as well.

Last but not least, every good Dota 2 team needs a coach, especially in 2021. That’s why the Ukrainian powerhouses decided to sign in one of the most recognized names in this position - Ivan “Artstyle” Antonov. Every Na`Vi fan knows that Artstyle was one of the reasons why the team won T1 more than 10 years ago. In fact, he was the captain of the team back then, which included some of the biggest names in the game. In the last couple of years, the CIS player had a crucial role at VP and helped the team perform better than expected.

Following the changes, Na`Vi’s roster looks like this (from pos 1 to pos 5):

1. Alik “V-TUNE” Vorobey 2. Vladimir “No[o]ne Minenko 3. Victor “GeneRaL” Nigrini 4. Ilya “ALOHADANCE” Korobkin 5. Alexey “Solo” Berezin

The team definitely has enough firepower on paper. However, we'll have to wait until next DPC season to see if they can put it to use because there are many other top Dota 2 teams out there.
