From celebrities' dazzling, barely-there outfits to their iconic performances, MTV's 40th annual 2021 Video Music Awards proved to be a can't-miss spectacle.

Aside from beloved stars taking home awards for their hard work, an award show wouldn't be complete without couples packing on the PDA, A-list stars sharing silly moments behind-the-scenes and maybe even a scuffle here and there.

Justin Bieber and Olivia Rodrigo may have been the stars of the Awards show this year — with the "Holy" singer taking home two Moonperson statuettes and the "Good 4 U" songstress winning three — but it was Machine Gun Kelly, Travis Barker and their respective girlfriends, Megan Fox and Kourtney Kardashian, who stole the show.

The KUWTK alum and Blink-182 drummer not only made their red carpet debut at the Sunday, September 12, VMAs, but Kardashian even gushed over the artist while introducing his epic performance with MGK, calling Barker "hot."

As for Fox and the "My Ex's Best Friend" rocker, they caused jaws to drop on multiple occasions. For starters, the brunette babe stunned in a completely see-through dress that showed off her bedazzled G-string while the rapper donned a glittery red two piece suit and pearls on his face.

Fox then sent fans into a frenzy when she called her and Kardashian's men their "future baby daddies" before welcoming them to the stage.

Meanwhile, the New Girl alum's man caused quite the ruckus after a fight broke out between him and Conor McGregor on the red carpet. After the altercation — which reportedly occurred because Kelly's team didn't let the MMA fighter take a picture with the star — McGregor insisted "absolutely nothing" happened, saying he "certainly" doesn't "fight little vanilla boy rappers."

When MGK was asked about the confrontation by a reporter, he let out an exasperated groan and pushed the microphone out of his face before grabbing Fox's hand and walking off.

Kelly and McGregor's scuffle wasn't the only memorable thing to take place on the red carpet: Nick Cannon also caused a scene when he saw Ashanti stun in her sexy black Michael Costello dress. The Masked Singer host was so blown away by Ashanti's beauty that he decided to jokingly propose to the singer.
