Wendy Williams Tests Positive For COVID-19 Breakthrough Infection

In an announcement to The Wendy Williams Show Instagram, the program’s producers revealed that host Wendy Williams** has tested positive for COVID-19. Fighting a breakthrough case of COVID, Williams will be taking “time to quarantine and fully recover and to ensure our production abides by all SAG/AFTRA and DGA COVID protocols.” Season 13 of *he Wendy Williams Show *ill be postponed to October 4 while Williams recuperates.

This announcement comes following a post on the show’s official Instagram earlier this week which stated that Williams was not feeling well.

 

In 2018, the host opened up about her struggle with Graves’ disease and hyperthyroidism. Williams will be addressing her the immune system disorder in conjunction with the COVID-19 infection treatment.
