Rapper Clifford “T.I.” Harris and wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris are off the hook.
The duo will reportedly not face charges after they were accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman in Los Angeles back in 2005.
Prosecutors have decided to drop charges against the 40-year-old rapper and his wife since the case does not fall within the 10-year statute of limitations, reported TMZ.
The alleged victim came forward earlier this year, claiming she met the “Live Your Life” crooner at a club, then later the couple tried to drug and assault her.
Prosecutors in Las Vegas also decided not to pursue charges by another woman who came forward with a similar claim. She alleged she was drugged and assaulted after meeting Tiny at the airport and subsequently hanging with the 46-year-old songwriter and her hubby.
That case was also out of the statute of limitations so prosecutors dropped the charges.
As OK! previously reported, at least 30 women accused T.I. and Tiny of sexual misconduct. The alleged victims accused the pair of “forced drugging, kidnapping, rape, and intimidation” in at least two states including California and Georgia.
Most of the women wanted to remain anonymous out of “fear for their lives and safety,” citing the hip-hop artist's powerful reputation and past federal weapons charges.
The couple’s attorney, Steve Sadow, emphatically denied the accusations lodged against the T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle stars.
“Clifford (T.I.) and Tameka Harris deny in the strongest possible terms these unsubstantiated and baseless allegations. We are confident that if these claims are thoroughly and fairly investigated, no charges will be forthcoming,” the statement read. “These allegations are nothing more than the continuation of a sordid shakedown campaign that began on social media. The Harris' implore everyone not to be taken in by these obvious attempts to manipulate the press and misuse the justice system.”
The “Dead And Gone” rapper recently commented on the shocking claims lodged against him and his wife, claiming “sh*t didn’t happen.”
“To be honest with you bro, stupid people listen to stupid people,” T.I. said on an episode of “The Big Facts Live” podcast. “It’s simple as that. The name of the show is Big Facts. You show me one motherfu**in’ big fact on the subject and we can continue the discussion.”
