During the summer, insiders revealed that Kardashian was in "in high level talks" with Michaels to discuss the possibility of the reality star and fashion mogul taking her chance at hosting the long running sketch comedy show.

An insider said at the time, “Lorne Michaels was recently spotted at the Beverly Hills Hotel deep in discussions with Kim, and her momager-manager, Kris [Jenner]. Lorne wants her to do the show.”

Although the 40-year-old may be new to starring in the sketches herself, the Kardashian crew is no stranger to being spoofed on the late night spectacle. Comedian and actress Nasim Pedrad portrayed the "Jam" singer in multiple sketches during her 2009 to 2014 run on the show. Her equally famous sisters and mother have also been parodied with Kristen Wiig, Vanessa Bayer, and Abby Elliott taking on the roles of the media sensations.

Kardashian is not the first reality star to tackle hosting for the larger than life show. Michaels has recruited the likes of businessman Elon Musk and even the SKIMS creator's best friend Paris Hilton during her height in the early 2000's.

There was also that infamous episode where prior to his election to the highest office in the land, former President Donald Trump took on the gig.
