The parents of Brian Laundrieare still remaining silent.
The 23-year-old, who has now been missing for 6 days, went MIA once police named him as a person of interest in the disappearance of his fiancé Gabby Petito.
Laundrie’s mother and father were leaving their home in North Port, Florida on Thursday, September 23, when they were asked whether or not there were any updates on the whereabouts of their son — but once again, they didn’t provide any helpful information.
The pair told authorities that their son had gone missing last Friday, after he took his backpack on a hike and never returned. They gave the location of a nature reserve where they believed their son may have fled, but they haven’t divulged any new details since.

On Wednesday, September 22, the Laundrie family released a short comment, saying “May Gabby rest in peace.”
An uncle to the deceased 22-year-old, wasn’t happy about the lackluster sentiment, and he claimed that the Laundrie family lawyer, Steven Bertolino, was being “complicit” in the family's “massive cover-up.”
“As far as the law is concerned this law firm may be immune due to attorney/client privilege, but in the eyes of the public you are as guilty and complicit with this massive cover-up and stalling tactic,” the grieving family memberwrote on Instagram.
“We don’t require nor want you [sic] empathy. By you trying to show compassion here at this moment is beyond disgusting.”
The spat comes just two days after the human remains found in Grant Teton National park on Sunday, September 19 were confirmed to belong to the social media mogul.
After an autopsy was conducted on Tuesday, September 21, FBI investigators confirmed that Petito is deceased and consider her death to be a homicide, although official autopsy results are still pending.
The search for Laundrie is still ongoing. On Wednesday, September 22, an underwater dive team arrived at the scene of the search at the Carlton Reserve in Venice, Florida.
