Lauren Stivrins Returns; Nebraska Sweeps Michigan

The All-American's long-awaited return was met with a dominant showing by the No. 12 Huskers

Homecoming weekend got off to an impressive start for No. 12 Nebraska volleyball, and especially for three-time All-American Lauren Stivrins, who made her season debut.

Stivrins got the start and made the most of it. She hit a ridiculous .733 for a match-high 11 kills.

With the debut of one of the nation’s top weapons, the Huskers easily handled Michigan with a 25-14, 15, 13 sweep.

Joining Stivrins in double digits was Madi Kubik, who racked up 11 kills on .455 hitting. Kayla Caffey (.583) and Ally Batenhorst (.348) each added eight kills.

Nicklin Hames had 39 assists to go with five aces.

As a team, Nebraska hit .462.

Next up for the Huskers is Michigan State at the Devaney Center on Sunday.
