Miya Marcano's Family Released Video Of Suspect Armando Caballero Denying He Was 'Stalking' The Teen Before Her Death

Miya Marcano’s family has released a shocking new video of the prime suspect in the teen's death.

The newly released footage was filmed at the Arden Villas apartment complex in Orlando in the early hours of September 25, just one day after Marcano was last seen alive.

Armando Caballero — the sole person of interest in the case — is featured in the clip talking to police as Marcano’s family members chimed in to claim that he was “obsessed” with the 19-year-old.

“You have sent obsessive texts to Miya. We have all seen the texts,” an unidentified family member said in the video. “You talked about giving her your life savings. You cash app-ed her money and you claim that you weren’t in touch.“

“I never said that,” Caballero said in reference to the claims that he offered Miya his life savings.

“We’re going to get a police report to pull your phone records if that’s the case,” the family member responded. “There’s evidence of obsession. You’re fascinated with Miya.”

Caballero, who served as a maintenance worker in Marcano’s apartment building, tried to defend himself by claiming that his communication with her went two ways.

“It’s not only from one side. Don’t try to make this like I’m a stalker,” Caballero said.

“It takes two but obviously she’s missing so we’re talking to you,” the unidentified relative fired back.

Just two days after the video was filmed, Caballero was found dead from what is believed to be an apparent suicide.

Marcano was last seen at her apartment complex around 5 p.m. on September 24, and after a week-long search, her body was discovered in a wooded area near the Tymber Skan condominiums.

A purse with her identification waslocated near the body, which was found almost 18 miles west of her home in Orlando.

“A positive identification of a female whose body was recovered in a wooded area on October 2, 2021 has been identified as Miya Marcano,” Chief Medical Examiner Joshua Stephany announced on Wednesday, October 5.

“This case is currently under active law enforcement investigation and any further requests for information, including cause and manner of death, will be deferred to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office,” the statement read.

So far police are looking into Caballero as the sole person of interest in Marcano’s death.

“We believe pretty conclusively that Amando Caballero is responsible for this crimeand there is not any other person or persons that we are looking for in this case,” Sheriff John Mina said over the weekend.
