Candace Cameron Bure Defends Her Stance On The COVID-19 Vaccine: 'I'm Just Pro-Medical Freedom'

Candace Cameron Bureisn’t apologizing for her stance on the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Full House alum recently took to Instagram to make it clear that she isn’t an anti-vaxxer, but she doesn’t agree with mandates requiring individuals to get their shots against the virus.

On Thursday, October 8, the 45-year-old re-posted a series of graphics from @thatgirlnamedblake, including one which read: “I’m not anti-v, I’m just pro-medical freedom.”

The others read: “I’m not anti-v, I’m just pro-immune system,” “pro-informed consent,” "pro-early intervention,” and “pro-sunlight, exercise, real food & vitamins.”

CANDACE CAMERON BURE HAS ZERO DESIRE TO RETURN AS COHOST OF ‘THE VIEW,’ REVEALS SHE HATED ALL OF THE POLITICAL TALK: ‘IT WAS EXHAUSTING’

She reiterated the posts in her own caption, where she wrote: “This. This is not about what I am against. This is what I am FOR. Read and understand the distinction 🙏🏻.”

Her post continued, “This mama is holding the line and standing up for freedom. This should not separate us. We can have different opinions and still respect and love one another. Be bigger than that!”

This isn’t the first time Cameron-Bure posted about the controversy surrounding the COVID-19 vaccine, although she still won’t clue her followers into her personal vaccination status.

Back in September, the actress wrote “I can no longer stay silent on vaccine mandates. Although I will not disclose my vaccination status to you, I am absolutely opposed to vaccine MANDATES, anywhere,” on a since-expired Instagram story.

“We must speak up,” she concluded.

Bure’s issues with vaccine mandates don’t just apply to the one concerning COVID-19: In 2015, she praised her children’s school for not requiring vaccinations, too.

“Although my children are vaccinated, I’m glad I had the choice when it comes to school. I have many family and friends who choose not to vaccinate for different reasons,” she wrote on Facebook at the time.

Other stars have also publicly voiced their opinions regarding vaccine mandates, including Nicki Minaj, who skipped out on the 2021 Met Gala because of the vaccination requirement.

“They want you to get vaccinated for the Met. if I get vaccinated it won’t be for the Met. It’ll be once I feel I’ve done enough research. I’m working on that now,” the rapper tweeted last month.

“In the meantime my loves, be safe. Wear the mask with 2 strings that grips your head & face. Not that loose one,” she continued.

Her follow-up tweet — which made false claims about the COVID-19 vaccine causing reproductive problems — was called out by Dr. Anthony Fauci, who claimed that the musician should “think twice” before spreading misinformation to her millions of followers.
