Human Remains Found Near Florida Reserve Where Brian Laundrie's Belongings Were Found

Officials announced that human remains were discovered in the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park located inside Florida's Carlton Reserve — near where Brian Laundrie’s belongings were recently uncovered.

According to NBC News, what is believed to be partial human remains were found in an area that was previously submerged in water. However, the outlet reports that there has been no confirmation the remains belong to the fugitive, who went missing September 17.

As OK! previously reported, the Laundries' family lawyer, Steven Bertolino, announced Brian's belongings were discovered after his parents Chris and Roberta joined the FBI on their manhunt in Carlton Reserve on Wednesday, October 20.

"Chris and Roberta Laundrie went to the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park this morning to search for Brian," the lawyer announced , per News Nation Now's Brian Entin. "The FBI and NPPD were informed last night of Brian’s parents’ intentions and they met Chris and Roberta there this morning."

"After a brief search off a trail that Brian frequented some articles belonging to Brian were found," the attorney continued. "As of now law enforcement is conducting a more thorough investigation of that area."
