No. 9 Nebraska Upsets No. 7 Purdue

The Huskers remain on top of the Big Ten standings as the lone undefeated in league play.

No. 9 Nebraska volleyball (16-3, 10-0 Big Ten) notched their first top-10 win of the season Saturday, taking down No. 7 Purdue (14-5, 6-4 Big Ten) in four sets at the Devaney Center.

"That's a good momentum builder for us," Nebraska coach John Cook said. "We're gonna be playing top-10 teams every week now pretty much for the rest of the season."

Nicklin Hames eclipsed the 4,000 career assists mark in the match, becoming the third Husker in program history to reach the milestone. Hames had 48 assists on the night.

Four Huskers reached double-digit kills, led by Madi Kubik with 15.

The middles of Kayla Caffey and Lauren Stivrins had big nights with 14 kills each.

Nebraska hit .214 while holding Purdue to .123.

Another big match awaits the Huskers. They'll host No. 3 Wisconsin (17-1, 9-1 Big Ten) Wednesday.
