NU Athletics Notice For Postgame Foot Traffic

Those leaving the stadium will have specific paths they are asked to follow to relieve congestion.

Nebraska Athletics will be utilizing venue management staff to coordinate specific walking paths around Memorial Stadium after Saturday’s game against Purdue.

In an email from Nebraska Communications, the effort is to help alleviate postgame pedestrian traffic on the west side of the stadium. The coordinated paths will be for fans moving north and south on Stadium Drive.

“If you are traveling south on Stadium Drive, you will be encouraged to use the lane closest to the stadium. If you are traveling north, you will be encouraged to use the lane closest to the parking areas. There will be some signage outside the stadium to help set this up as well as officers placed at strategic points to help guide the flow and oversee the postgame exit.”

Fans can also help to relieve congestion by taking using east stadium exit games, if convenient. Those gates—18, 20, 22, and 23—are accessible by the common concourse and connects to all of west, north, and east stadiums.

Those in south stadium as well as suite and club patrons should still use their standard entry and exit gates.

“We ask fans to be patient and considerate of others around them during times of high congestion.”
