Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson's "secret" dinner date in Staten Island was reportedly filmed for her family's upcoming Hulu series — leaving many to wonder if their alleged brewing romance is just another publicity stunt.
After the KUWTK alum appeared on the comedian's Saturday Night Live show last month as the guest host, rumors began swirling of possible romance in the air between the two. Adding fuel to the dating rumors, Kardashian and The Suicide Squad actor were spotted on Tuesday, November 2, entering the back door of Italian spot Campania — which happens to be one of Davidson’s favorite places to grab a bite.
Despite seemingly trying to keep a low profile, the 40-year-old and Davidson — who broke up with Bridgerton's Phoebe Dynevor in August, and seemed to have recently been getting close with his Meet Cute costar Kaley Cuoco amid her divorce — were joined by the Hulu crew, Radar reported.
The crew has reportedly been documenting Kardashian's every move since she touched down in New York City. The crew is allegedly rubbing guests in the Ritz-Carlton hotel — where the makeup mogul has been residing during her Big Apple stay — the wrong way with their constant filming.
One bothered resident even questioned whether the mother-of-four's romance with The King of Staten Island star was only for the cameras. "Is this whole thing a press stunt for the new show?" an eyewitness asked the outlet.
The rumored flames' meet-up marked the second time they've been spotted together since they shared a kiss during their Alladin skit on SNL.
Speculation surrounding the duo's possible romance began brewing when they were first seen holding hands over the weekend at a theme park near Los Angeles.
Kardashian and Davidson then both arrived to New York City days later, with the brunette beauty attending the Wall Street Journal's 2021 Innovator Awards alone on Monday, November 1, while the Big Time Adolescence actor rehearsed for this weekend's upcoming SNL show.
The duo met up one day later for their “secret dinner rendezvous” in Staten Island, OK! reported.
Though their friendship may be blossoming into something more — with an insider spilling that Davidson has been pursuing Kardashian for weeks — a source hinted to Radar that the 27-year-old possibly has ulterior motives with the KKW beauty founder.
“Let’s just say it, Pete loves dating super famous people," dished the source. "He loves the attention and getting chased around by photographers. Right now, press is camped out outside his home in Staten Island, hoping to catch him with Kim, and he loves it."
Davidson was briefly engaged to Ariana Grande before they called in quits in October 2018, and dated Kate Beckinsale shortly after before they parted ways in April 2019.
As for Kardashian, she may have to tie up some loose ends before moving on with a new man, as the status of her and estranged husband Kanye West's relationship appears to be up in the air after she filed for divorce from the artist in February. OK! previously learned she's "torn" about whether to pull the trigger on the couple's divorce, as she doesn't want to tear their family apart.
