Nebraska Coasts to 102-47 Victory Over Prairie View A&M

The Huskers scored over 100 points in back-to-back games for the first time since 1983.

It was a second no-doubter for coach Amy Williams and Nebraska women's basketball.

The Huskers (2-0) jumped out to 28-11 first quarter lead, got up by as much as 44, and coasted to the 102-47 win over Prairie View A&M (1-1).

This is the second consecutive game scoring over 100 points already this season after having not done so once since 2014. Nebraska hadn't gone over 100 points in back-to-back games since 1983.

Issie Bourne started the game on fire, scoring nine of Nebraska's first 15 points. Bourne finished with 13 points.

Jaz Shelly led all scorers with 22 points, predominantly due to her 6-of-9 shooting from deep. She also added a game-high 11 rebounds for her first double-double as a Husker.

Speaking of firsts as a Husker, Alexis Markowski had her first double-figures scoring game as she scored 14 points while adding six rebounds.

Also scoring in double figures were Kendall Coley (10) and Allison Weidner (11). All 12 Huskers who played in the game scored.

Sam Haiby, not needed as much to score in this one, played a complete game with six points, eight rebounds, and nine assists.

The Huskers shot 54 percent from the floor, including 11-of-22 from 3. Nebraska won the rebounding battle 62-36 but did give up 15 offensive rebounds to the Panthers.

Nebraska stays at home Sunday to host Alabama A&M.
