Huskers Prepare for ‘Ugly’ Fray With Badgers

Sevion Morrison leaves the team, but Nebraska may get Deontai Williams back for Wisconsin game

Coach Scott Frost says he expects an ugly and physical game Saturday when his Huskers face Wisconsin in Madison.

"It's going to be an ugly game," Frost said during Monday's game-week press conference. "It's going to be a Big Ten game in November."

The Huskers will be without running back Sevion Morrison, who announced Monday that he's entering the transfer portal. The second-year freshman from Tulsa had seen his playing time diminish as the season progressed.

On defense, Frost said there's "a good chance" senior safety Deontai Williams will be able to play after missing two games with a knee injury.

Players said they remained motivated despite having no shot at a bowl game and having just lost four assistant coaches. “It’s about pride,” quarterback Adrian Martinezsaid. “...It’s a rivalry game, and the same goes for the next week with Iowa. Those are big games for us regardless of where we’re at in the year. Those games will always mean something.”
