UPDATE Dec. 1: Cloud9 has confirmed that LS will be the team's head coach for the 2022 LCS season. This will be LS' first time coaching in the LCS since his time as the head coach for Gravity in the 2015 NA LCS Spring Split.
UPDATE Nov. 30: Cloud9's LCS 2022 roster is set, but their coaching staff, as far as the public is concerned, could not be any more nebulous. Cloud9 has announced the departures of head coach mithy, assistant coach Reignover, and Jonathan "Westrice" Nguyen, the latter of whom was both the head coach of C9 Academy and an assistant coach to the LCS squad. The only coaches who remain for Cloud9 are their duo of positional strategic coaches, Max Waldo and Marius "Veigar v2" Aune.
UPDATE Nov. 24: Following the completion of Cloud9's LCS roster, C9 Academy is also making moves. Jungler Sebastian "Malice" Edholm has joined C9 Academy, and Zven, who C9 said had a chance to win the starting LCS AD carry spot from Berserker, is also on the C9 Academy roster for the 2022 season. With Winsome joining Zven in the bot lane, it looks as though Isles is Cloud9's starting support for LCS 2022. C9 Academy's roster is reportedly finished with the same solo laners as 2021.
UPDATE Nov. 20: Cloud9 has confirmed their LCS 2022 roster following reports. Blaber will be retained as the team's starting jungler, and with the signing of former Liiv SANDBOX top laner Summit, Fudge has roleswapped to mid lane. Former T1 Challengers AD carry Berserker has been signed to the bot lane, and Winsome has been signed to compete for the starting support position alongside Cloud9 Academy support Isles.
In Cloud9's announcement video, it was said that Zven would be able to compete with Berserker for the starting AD carry position on the LCS squad, but it looks like Berserker is the de-facto starter until further notice.
UPDATE Nov. 17: A followup report by Jacob Wolf states that Cloud9 have finalized an agreement to sign Berserker as the team's AD carry in the 2022 LCS. Only the head coach position remains vacant at Cloud9, assuming the reports of mithy joining 100 Thieves as assistant coach are correct.

According to a report by Dot Esports' Jacob Wolf, Cloud9 has reportedly signed top laner Park "Summit" Woo-tae and support Kim “Winsome” Dong-keon to the team's 2022 LCS roster. Summit, who played for Liiv SANDBOX in the 2021 LCK season, will be C9's starting top laner, while Winsome, who competed in Challengers Korea last season, will battle for the starting support position with C9 Academy's Jonah "Isles" Rosario.
The reported signings of Summit and Isles corroborate with reports of C9 top laner Ibrahim "Fudge" Allami moving to the mid lane in 2022. Fudge's contract was extended by Cloud9 today through 2025.
Travis Gafford has confirmed with Cloud9 CEO Jack Etienne that jungler Robert "Blaber" Huang will be part of the LCS roster for 2022, but AD carry Jesper "Zven" Svenningsen is reportedly not the only potential option for starting AD carry. Wolf's report states that Cloud9, alongside multiple LPL teams, is looking to recruit former T1 Challengers AD carry Kim "Berserker" Min-cheol. Winsome is South Korean, but because he was born in the US, does not take up an import slot in the LCS.
Wolf's report also states that Cloud9 has looked at T1 content creator Nick "LS" De Cesare as head coach. LS has coached teams in the past and is known for his in-depth and at times polarizing League of Legends analysis. The report is right in line with another report by Dot Esports that states Cloud9 head coach Alfonso "mithy" Aguirre Rodríguez is headed to 100 Thieves as the defending LCS champion's new assistant coach.
Cloud9 has already parted ways with two members from the 2021 LCS roster. Mid laner Luka "Perkz" Perković is reportedly heading back to Europe to play for Team Vitality for the 2022 LEC season, while support Philippe "Vulcan" Laflamme has officially signed with Evil Geniuses.
