Peter Weber On The Biggest Peaks & Pit Falls Of Fame — And The Weirdest Request He's Received From Bachelor Nation Fans

While being the Bachelor comes with beautiful women vying for your heart and the possibility of finding love, Peter Weber spills that every rose still has its thorn.

The former Bachelor-turned-author sat down with OK! to discuss the peaks and pitfalls of fame since being Season 24's Bachelor.

Despite not getting the happily ever after he may have envisioned, Weber candidly admits he had "the time of [his] life" on the reality dating show.

And the handsome hunk certainly hasn't given up on finding the one, as he tells OK! all about his partnership with Chispa — the largest dating app for Latino singles in the U.S that the reality star joined after spending the past 10-11 months focusing on himself and "putting [himself] first."

Meanwhile, Weber also credits The Bachelor for helping him grow "in so many ways."

When asked what the greatest peak has been since going from being on The Bachelor to real life, the 30-year-old reveals: "It's been life changing."

Acknowledging his experience wasn't without hurdles — given that he was tasked with balancing several relationships while constantly being filmed — he adds that he "got to do incredible things" and "meet incredible people that [he] really wouldn't have had a chance to do without this show."

"For that I will forever be grateful," he maintains, pointing out he wouldn't have grown in such a way if it weren't for the trials the show "uniquely" offered him.

However, those trials seemed to be more like a double edged sword. "There are hard moments," he admits while reflecting on some of the pit falls of fame. "There are trying times."

Despite some bumps in the road during and after his time on the show, the United Airlines pilot "chooses to really focus on the good times."

"It's all about perspective," he shares. "It's how you choose to move forward and reflect on that and grow."

And as Weber walks away from his reality star life, he tells OK! he's ready to get back out into the dating scene — it just may be a more private romance this time around.

The nation watched Weber's journey to find love on TV — with him even quipping: "I went on a reality TV dating show, so I'm very not in the ordinary, I guess, with traditional ways of dating" — but he reveals: "I really am a private person. A lot of people don't think that, but I do have those qualities about me."

Discussing his next potential relationship, Weber emphasizes he doesn’t "need someone from the public eye," confessing: "That's not what I'm about."

"If it happens, great. I'm not saying I’m opposed to it, but I do miss periods of before the show where you’re just normal and it's not like all this stuff is blowing up and what not," Weber honestly shares, seemingly referring to his public relationships on and after the show. "There is really something attractive about that to me."

However, if fans are hoping for a chance to date Weber, they may want to stop requesting footage of his feet — yes, you read that right.

When asked about the weirdest request he's received from Bachelor fans, Weber bursts into laughter, revealing: "So apparently people are really into feet."

Recalling when he posted a video to Instagram of his foot after running the New York City Marathon earlier this month with roommate and former The Bachelorette contestant Dustin Kendrick, Weber reveals: "People wanted more pictures of that."

Remembering some of the comments made, Weber says one fan hilariously insisted he should "be charging" people for snaps of his feet.

He comically remarks: "I wasn't posting it for that kind of thing. That's a little odd."

"I was just shocked," he continues of people's reactions. "I had a bruised-up foot."

Hopefully, Weber will be as good as new in no time, as he's gearing up to release his book The Adventures of Pilot Pete — which will optimistically be the first of a series. Noting his upcoming children's book is about his own journey to becoming the one-and-only Pilot Pete, he adds that he wants to move the story forward and keep it educational for children.

Discussing his hope for a potential fictional series, he tells OK! he envisions it having a little mystery while being adventurous.

"That would be the goal for me for the next step," he excitedly remarks.
