The canceled match will count as a forfeit and a win for Nebraska.
What was supposed to be the final home match of the regular-season has been called off.
A release from Nebraska Athletic Communications says Saturday’s match against Rutgers has been canceled “due to non-COVID related illnesses within the Scarlet Knights’ program”. The match will count as a forfeit in the standings in favor of the Huskers.
Saturday was also supposed to be Senior Night, which will now follow Friday’s match with No. 15 Penn State.
