Prime Video now allows you to share a clip from a show on social

TV buffs should be happy about this development. Amazon's Prime Video streaming platform is finally allowing users to share an excerpt from a TV show via social networks! This practical new feature is still only available to certain subscribers for now. Here's the lowdown.

Did a scene from "The Boys" make you laugh so hard that now you want to include it in an Instagram story? As of now, you'll be able to -- or nearly. Prime Video has unveiled a new feature on its blog for its iOS app. Subscribers can now choose the moment they want from a series to share on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or WhatsApp. Users will also be able to send it via a message. Previously, even image captures were prohibited and censored.

It's good news for fans even if for the moment it only applies to some subscribers since the feature has only been rolled out in the United States for the moment, said the American giant.

The option is only available for four series from the Prime Video catalog: "The Boys," "The Wilds," "Invincible," and "Fairfax." Other Amazon Original films and series will join this list later, the streaming site announced, without giving a specific date.

How does it work?

A "Share a clip" button will appear on the screen when playing a series. By clicking on the button, users will be able to see a video editor and choose a 30-second clip that they can preview before sharing it on platforms.

Prime Video did not indicate whether the feature will be offered on the Android app or if it would be available in other countries.
