Despite Dodge working to simplify their lineup for the 2022 model year, they’ve decided to add a new trim to the Durango. According to Mopar Insiders, the soon-to-be-official 2022 Dodge Durango R/T Plus looks to be following in the footsteps of the Durango GT Plus, by taking the Durango R/T and pulling down a bunch of premium options to a more affordable trim level.

With the added luxury features, the Durango R/T Plus is undoubtedly a substantial offer, but if you want added performance and capability, the Tow N’ Go Package is also available for the trim, which increases the maximum speed to 145 MPH and ramps up the towing weight to 8,700 pounds. A lot more comes with the package, and it truly takes the Durango R/T Plus to a new level. The package has an MSRP of $4,995 and could certainly be worth it for those who need more capability and speed in their lives.

The Durango R/T has the legendary 5.7-liter Hemi V8 under the hood, producing 360 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque. When paired with the Tow N’ Go package, the Durango R/T can go from 0-60 in around 6.2 seconds and is capable of doing a 1/4-mile in 14.7 seconds. 2022 Dodge Durango production is expected to start in December.
