Water under the bridge?
Jennifer Lopez appeared to be all smiles, despite Ben Affleck's backlash for his disastrous interview earlier this week, as the power couple headed into the Jimmy Kimmel Live! studio.
The "On The Floor" songstress, 52, was reportedly furious with Affleck after he accidentally went off on his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, during an appearance on SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show on Tuesday, December 14.
The 49-year-old actor was reflecting on his former marriage with the 13 Going on 30 actress when he stated he felt "trapped" in their marriage — which officially ended in 2018. He also claimed he would "probably still be drinking" if he was still married to Garner.
As OK! previously reported, the Selena actress — who rekindled her romance with the Gone Girl actor earlier this year — was "livid" with Affleck for trashing his ex and breaking a prior agreement the couple had.
"They both agreed that they wouldn't talk about their private lives in any depth after what happened last time they were together," an insider revealed of Bennifer 2.0. "It was all carefully planned that they would do pix together but that's all. At events the press is told ‘no questions about JLO and Ben. Only questions about the film. Now he shot off his big mouth and dragged her into it.”
The source pointed out the Latin superstar was concerned with how Affleck's kids would handle the comments, as she "has been working really hard to build a relationship with Ben’s children. They are going to read the quotes from their dad trashing their mom." Garner, 49, is the mother of Affleck's three children: Violet, 16, Seraphina, 12 and Samuel, 9.
"Jen [Lopez] has also worked really hard to have a relationship with Jennifer [Garner]. Ben just blew that up too,” the insider also spilled, adding that J.Lo "doesn't tolerate this sloppy sh*t. She is buttoned up. She has her sh*t together."
However, the Argo star tried to do some damage control during his appearance on Jimmy KimmelLive!on Wednesday, December 15, where he insisted his statements were taken out of context.
"I had gone on and said how much we respect each other and cared about each other and cared about our kids and put them first," he stated, explaining that the recent reports: "just made me out to be the worst, most insensitive, stupid awful guy."
All of the drama seemed to have washed over, as Affleck and Lopez were back to their gushy selves while arriving on set for the interview with Kimmel.

J.Lo appeared to be listening intently to her hunky boyfriend, as they departed for the evening.
