A time to be thankful. As Sherri Shepherd's time on The Wendy Williams Show comes to an end, the guest host made sure to go out with a bang.

Stunning in a Santa Clause inspired dress with a corset, the beloved actress said farewell to her hosting duties on Friday, December 17, after she returned to take Wendy Williams' spot in her famed purple chair for the second time on Monday, December 13.

Shepherd, 54, showed off her striking look on Instagram while gushing over her amazing experience on the show in light of the embattled host's health hoes. "My final day on @wendyshow … thank you #wendywilliams for letting me sit in for you and at the same time live a silent dream," she captioned an array of photos and clips of her behind-the-scenes. "Tune in today for a Merry Sherri Christmas!"

The Wendy Williams Show appeared to show their support by re-sharing Shepherd's post to their Instagram Story.

While the comedian had nothing but kind words to say about Williams and her time on the talk show, it's safe to say the 57-year-old is happy to see Shepherd gone.

OK! reported guest hosts have been filling in for Williams ever since she announced she was taking a break from the show back in September due to "ongoing health issues" — one of which included her breakthrough COVID-19 case, and the other being complications from Graves disease.

Though there was concern regarding how the show would do without Williams, no one expected ratings to boom the way they had in recent months.

The daytime diva is "jealous" ratings have flourished in her absence, and the audience has taken to the former The View cohost so fondly, OK! learned.

An insider pointed out it's no surprise Williams' fans have welcomed Shepherd with open arms, pointing out: "Sherri is the closest to Wendy that her fans are going to get, and she's funny."

It's unclear when Williams plans to return to her show, as guest hosts have already been named to fill in at the start of the New Year. Meanwhile, the TV personality insisted she was doing "fabulous" earlier this year while she was seen leaving a wellness center in Miami.
