FORD SUPER DUTY PRICES ARE INCREASING

Purchasing a new vehicle falls short of ideal at the moment, with dealership markups often adding ridiculously high sums to the top of already expensive cars due to inventory shortages. But it seems that’s not all consumers have to worry about, as every time we turn around, there’s another price hike by manufacturers. This time, the 2022 Ford F-Series Super Duty trucks are receiving a $1,295 price increase from before.

2022 Super Duty Price Hike: Details

According to CarsDirect, all 2022 F-Series Super Duty trucks will get a $1,295 price increase to their base MSRP. In the case of the Ford F-450, the price of a well-equipped truck makes its way well past $95,000. However, the good news is that the standard F-150 truck remains unaffected as of right now. Even so, this decision made by Ford marks one of the largest of a series of mid-year price increases. Even though it’s not uncommon for manufacturers to have mid-year price increases, this one certainly hits people’s pocketbooks. However, when considering the aforementioned dealership markups, $1,295 doesn’t make itself to be that big of a deal by comparison.

Pricier trucks can result in higher financing costs. For example, an $80,000 vehicle paired with a 6-year loan at 5% APR translates to over $12,700 in interest. The result means that individuals in dire need of the capability a Super Duty model has on offer have little choice but to pay the resulting premium associated with vehicles at the moment.
