Monday Night Football DFS: Week 16

Two potential wild card teams face off this week on Monday Night Football. The Miami Dolphins will head into New Orleans to face off against the Saints. Both teams are 7-7 and battling for the last few playoffs spots in their respective conference. The Dolphins are in a must-win scenario with the AFC being so tight. While the Saints would nearly double their playoff chances with a win. Now let’s take a look at the top DFS players in this matchup.

DraftKings Captain

Ian Book (DK 13,500 | FD 12,000)

This will be the fourth quarterback to play for the Saints this season. However, Book knows how to win. In fact, he is the winningest quarterback in Notre Dame’s history. In his career at Notre Dame, he had 89 career touchdowns using both his arm and his legs. He should be a perfect fit for this Saints offense with his running upside and his ability to distribute the ball to his playmakers. Book will have himself a very good debut for the Saints.

FanDuel MVP

Alvin Kamara (DK 12,200 | FD 16,500)

Last season at Notre Dame, Book targeted his running backs a lot out of the backfield. Kamara is a very good pass-catching back. With the Saints receiving core being mediocre Kamara will be asked to do more in this game. He will be Books safety valve and should see a lot of volume in this game especially after getting shut down by Tampa Bay last week.

Flex Plays

Jaylen Waddle (DK 11,600 | FD 13,000)

The Saints have had a lot of success against wide receivers this season. However, the receivers that have had success against them have been guys that play out of the slot. Braxton Berrios, CeeDee Lamb, Chris Godwin, and Cole Beasley have all had solid games against the Saints from the slot. Waddle is next up and he has emerged as one of Tua Tagovailoa’s favorite targets. Look for him to have a good game tonight.

Saints D/ST (DK Only 3,800)

The Saints defense put on a brilliant display last week shutting out Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Saints pass rushers have been getting to the quarterback with seven sacks in their last two games. The Dolphins’ offensive line has also struggled having allowed 32 sacks on the season. Furthermore, Tua has eight interceptions this season including two last week and a pick-six. The Saints’ defense will put up some points in this game.
