Virginia Giuffreis addressing the verdict in Ghislaine Maxwell's sex trafficking trial.
On Wednesday, December 29, the former girlfriend of Jeffrey Epstein was found guilty on five out of the six sex trafficking related charges against her after six days of deliberation.
Giuffre — an outspoken survivor of Epstein's sexual abuse — celebrated the jury's decision to deliver "justice" by finding Maxwell guilty of the heinous crimes.
"My soul yearned for justice for years and today the jury gave me just that," Giuffre, 38, wrote in a tweet. "I will remember this day always."
"Having lived with the horrors of Maxwell's abuse, my heart goes out to the many other girls and young women who suffered at her hands and whose lives she destroyed," she continued, before insisting that there is more justice to be served.

"I hope that today is not the end but rather another step in justice being served. Maxwell did not act alone. Others must be held accountable. I have faith that they will be," she concluded. (Giuffre has also lodged a lawsuit against Prince Andrew after claiming that she was forced to have sex with him on Epstein's private island when she was a minor).
Giuffre — who is now a mom-of-three — also spoke about Maxwell's verdict in an interview with The Cut, where she insisted that the 60-year-old socialite was "more evil" than Epstein himself.
"She was the devil's right-hand man," she told the outlet of Maxwell. "She made these appointments for him, she actively went out there and scouted for new girls. She was part of the sexual encounters at times."
"She used that charm, that wit, that smile to come off as somebody you want to trust," Giuffre explained. "She was the one out there bringing the girls in for [him] and participating in some of the sexual events."

"She's worse to me, more evil than Epstein," she added. "What Ghislaine did to so many of us, it's unforgivable."
Maxwell previously pleaded not guilty to all six federal charges against her, despite her close acquaintance Epstein — who was accused of sex trafficking minors. He was found dead in his jail cell by apparent suicide in 2019 as he was stll awaiting his trial.
Maxwell was found guilty of conspiracy to transport minors with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, sex trafficking conspiracy and sex trafficking of a minor. She was found not guilty of enticement of a minor to travel to engage in illegal sex acts.
