HOW TO RESERVE THE PURE-ELECTRIC 2024 CHEVROLET SILVERADO EV

GM has just pulled the wraps off its next all-important Ultium-powered battery-electric vehicle, which is made to take the fight to the new Ford F-150 Lightning with things like four-wheel steering, up to 400 miles of range, and as much as 10,000 pounds of tow capacity: the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV. It’s a crucial part in GM’s plan for eventual EV market dominance. The pickup truck segment is hotly contested in the US, and while the Ford F-Series has been America’s best-selling vehicle for some decades now, the next frontier – that of the battery-electric pickups – is still up for grabs.

Like Ford with its F-150 Lightning, Chevy has implemented a reservation system for the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV, collecting info from interested customers so that the manufacturer can contact them in order and invite them to place their orders as production begins to ramp up.

How To Reserve The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV

Reservations for the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV open at 1:00 pm Eastern Time/10:00 am Pacific Time, exactly one hour after the truck’s official unveiling. Chevrolet has set aside a special web page for the all-new electric pickup truck where interested customers can find the link to make their reservations. We recommend getting in there as soon as possible; if Ford’s nearly-200,000 F-150 Lightning reservations are any indication, the US is hungry for electric trucks.

Initially, Chevy will offer just two versions of its 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV: the premium RST First Edition, with such niceties as four-wheel steering, an automatic adaptive air suspension, a massive 17-inch infotainment system, and Trailering-Capable Super Cruise; and a fleet-oriented WT model (pictured), which gets the Silverado’s biggest available battery, yielding a range of over 400 miles. The Chevrolet Silverado EV WT will launch first, with production projected to start in the spring of 2023. The RST First Edition will trail by a few months, with production starting that fall.

Reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis, so head to Chevrolet.com to get yours in quick.
