Sister Wives star Meri Brown has opened up about where her relationship stands with husband Kody Brown.

In a preview of the upcoming Sunday, January 9, episode of the TLC show via Us Weekly, the reality star, 50, revealed to her fellow sister wife Robyn Brown that she and Kody's, 52, marriage has been in a difficult place.

“I did not sign up to be in this family to only have Kody in my life,” Robyn, 43, explained in the sneak peak. “As much as I love Kody and it is great to have him around, it is stressing me out. I’m worried about the kids that aren’t seeing their dad, and I’m worried about the wives that aren’t seeing Kody.”

“At least you’re part of the Brown family. Do you know how hard it feels to be … I am an outsider, Robyn,” Meri explained.

“No I don’t feel like I am part of the Brown family. It’s this weird thing," Kody's first wife said. "Am I sister wife when I don’t have a husband? And I have a husband, technically, but do I? … It’s weird.”

“He told me that we can be friends, and that’s all," Meri — who shares 26-year-old daughter Mariah with Kody — said of her nearly 31 year marriage.

“She’s mourning the relationship that she had, the relationship lost, the marriage that she’s lost, and I understand that. I validate it,” Robyn stated in her confessional. "It’s sad, but I don’t know that its ever going to be what it was, but it could be something new.”

As OK! previously reported, the patriarch of the polygamist family had revealed earlier in the season that his relationship with the LuLaRoe seller was not what it used to be.

"I always saw one of the main benefits about plural marriage is that anybody in the family would never actually suffer true loneliness," Kody — who recently split with third wife Christine Brown — said. "The way things have played out for our family, that's not necessarily true. My relationship with Meri is not the type of relationship where I’m going to talk to her every day."
