HERE'S AN EARLY DESIGN SKETCH OF THE CHEVROLET SILVERADO EV

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV RST First Edition, Trail Boss and WT have officially been revealed and GM is quick to share fun facts about it all over the place. This includes on platforms such as Instagram where the official General Motors Design page once again shared an early sketch of the Silverado EV, which ultimately ended up being the electric truck we see today..

The official debut of the Silverado EV came January 5th at the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2022) in Las Vegas. GM CEO Mary Barra via a virtual Keynote spoke about GM and its brand new all-electric pick-up truck, as well as provided sneak peaks of the future electric Chevrolet models coming down the line in the form of an electric Chevy Equinox and Chevy Blazer EV; all of which utilize the Ultium battery technology first found in the GMC Hummer EV, which is currently in production.

The Silverado EV will be offered in limited trims for the 2024 model year: the RST First Edition, standard RST, and WT. A fleet-only Silverado EV WT will begin production at the GM Factory Zero plant next to the GMC Hummer EV in spring of 2023, while the RST First Edition is targeted for fall of 2023, and the others by summer of 2024. The Sketch appears to resemble the RST model we saw in the debut. It also manages to make you think of the Chevy Avalanche, as the electric truck features a Midgate that expands overall bed length.

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV is a feature packed pick-up truck with highlights that include four-wheel steering, Super Cruise and more. The prices range from close to $40,000 for the WT model and $105,000 for a fully loaded RST model. You can make a reservation for the Silverado EV now.
