When the 2022 LCK Spring Split kicks off next week, it will be with new exciting rosters and rivalries that will unfold in the battle for the first domestic trophy of the year.
Just like any other major region out there, the LCK teams have been through a hectic offseason where a lot has happened. Big star players have shifted teams and will play under new banners this season, while several rookies have been given a chance to compete in the best league in South Korea.
With all these changes in the region, fans can also look forward to seeing some high-quality gameplay throughout the spring regular season and later on in the playoffs. The LCK will officially start on Wednesday, January 12, where DRX and Liiv SANDBOX will open the show. From that match, all teams will be competing for nine weeks before the playoffs hit.

With roster changes across the board, there will also be a new rebrand to get used to. The team previously known as Afreeca Freecs will now play under the name Kwangdong Freecs, with a brand new visual identity to back it up. The organization has also made some exciting changes to its roster, to make sure that everyone keeps an eye out.
