Ben Affleck worries about the 'sad Affleck meme'

Ben Affleck worries his kids think he's "fundamentally sad" because of internet memes.

The Oscar-winning star is conscious of how he's portrayed online, and Ben doesn't want his kids to base their opinions of him on the memes they see on the internet.

Ben, 49 - who has Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, nine, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner - told the Los Angeles Times newspaper: "The 'Sad Affleck' meme - that was funny to me. I mean, there's nobody who hasn't felt that way at a junket.

"But then my kids see it and I think, 'Oh, are they going to think their dad is fundamentally sad or they have to worry about me?' That's really tough."

The Hollywood actor and Jennifer Lopez rekindled their romance in 2021, and they "really enjoyed" spending Christmas together.

The celebrity couple - who previously dated between 2002 and 2004 - relished spending the festive season with each other.

A source recently said: "It was a pretty quiet holiday for them. They really enjoyed it after a busy fall."

Ben spent time with his kids in Los Angeles on Christmas Eve. And the next day, the actor celebrated Christmas with the 'Jenny from the Block' hitmaker and her 13-year-old twins Max and Emme.

Meanwhile, Ben previously admitted that one of his big ambitions in life is to be a "good husband".

Discussing the type of man he aspires to be, he shared: "Only in the last four years have I been able to not be so terrified, because I recognise I won’t die without work.

"The most important thing is being a good father. The second most important thing is to be a good man. And a good person. And, ostensibly, you know, a good husband. Hopefully."
