NBA Week 13: Unmissable Games

The 13th week of the NBA will be all about the Golden State Warriors. They seem to have the most exciting opponents for games being played on January 10th up to the 16th. Maybe that’s what happens when you’re one of the top teams battling for the number one spot in the Western Conference. You become the main attraction. Let’s see what the week is like for Warrior fans out there.

January 11

Stephen Curry versus Ja Morant. That’s all you need to know, and it’s the only game you need to watch on this day. Imagine a game where two high-scoring guards are going against each other, where fancy passes lead to quick points, where every field goal attempt feels like it’s going in. When the Warriors visit the Memphis Grizzlies, there will be such a game.

January 12 and 14

The Chicago Bulls will be facing the Brooklyn Nets and then the Warriors two nights later. Those are teams that could easily be in the top three of their respective conferences when the season ends. If you’re familiar with the “Bulls Are Back” slogan, then you have to watch these games to see if the Bulls are indeed back. If Chicago somehow beats both the Nets and Warriors in a three-day span, there will be no question about the truthfulness of their slogan. One thing that Chicago fans should take note of: The Warriors will be in the second night of a back-to-back when they face the Bulls.

January 13

When Golden State faces the Milwaukee Bucks, it will be a game featuring the defending champ versus the most recent basketball dynasty. Curry and Giannis Antetokounmpo are both averaging around 27 points per game. It should be entertaining to see how the offensive fireworks display between these two players will look. You have Curry, who does most of his damage from the outside. And you have Antetokounmpo, who does his damage around the painted area. What style of play will prevail?

January 16

Warriors travel to Minnesota to face the Timberwolves in what will be part two of the Anthony Edwards and Andrew Wiggins show. The first time these teams met earlier this season, Edwards was two free throws away from scoring 50 points while Wiggins scored 35 against his former team. Edwards making seven three-pointers was the big reason he almost scored 50. NBA fans want nothing more than to see these two players battle it out again.

One for the Books

The pages of the NBA’s book of records are filling up pretty fast. Almost every week something comes up. We’re learning about these old records that are on the verge of being broken. We’ve seen Josh Giddey become the youngest player to rack up a triple-double. We’ve witnessed DeMar DeRozan become the first player to make game-winning shots on back-to-back nights. What could happen next? Stories about making history should keep fans glued to the NBA for the rest of the season.
