TikTok star Rory Teasley has tragically died after an alleged altercation with his boyfriend. He was only 28 years old.

As reported by New York Post, the late social media influencer was allegedly strangled by his boyfriend Docquen Jovo Watkins — who he had been dating for 10 years — after the pair got in a heated argument over a video game while at their apartment in Pontiac, Michigan.

Michigan's Oakland County Sheriff's Department responded to a 911 call made by Watkins to report the altercation, and seek medical attention for Teasley, who he claimed was "sleeping" on the couch. However, when law enforcement officers arrived on the scene, the content creator was found unconscious and not breathing.

After being rushed to the hospital, Teasley — known by his TikTok username @too2pump4tv — was eventually pronounced dead.

Authorities explained that Watkins and Teasley had reportedly been playing a 2016 video game called "Overwatch" when the argument broke out, causing Watkins to allegedly choke his boyfriend to death.

"We see far too often the country these days when people resort to violence over trivial and insignificant disagreements," Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard told local news outlet Click On Detroit. "There is never a reason where violence is acceptable over a disagreement. Those who do so will be held accountable."

Following the incident, Watkins was taken into custody and booked in the Oakland County Jail without bond. He was later charged with second-degree murder during his arraignment on Sunday, January 9.

Since the announcement of his death, Teasley's fans on the video-based app have flocked to his account to express their condolences for the late influencer.

Some fans even pointed out a video Teasley recently made about approaching 30, which was actually posted on the same day as the 28-year-old's tragic death.

"I'm sad you didn't even get to make it to 30…we love you rory," one TikToker commented, while another fan promised that "Justice will be served."

Teasley's boyfriend is currently awaiting a probable cause court hearing set for January 18, and a preliminary examination which is scheduled for January 25.
