This incredible design concept is a mashup between a zeppelin and a yacht

Accustomed to extravagant futuristic projects, Italian design studio Lazzarini has just unveiled an impressive flying concept, halfway between a yacht and a zeppelin. The Air Yacht, which could accommodate up to 20 people, is guaranteed to be completely free of C02 emissions.

Lazzarini's idea is to be able to travel comfortably by both air and sea without polluting, thanks to this incredible concept, created in carbon fiber and measuring 150 meters long and 80 meters wide. The most impressive part of the concept is its propulsion system, which consists of no fewer than eight electric motors of 950 hp each, powered by batteries that get charged through solar panels.

In the sky, this vehicle can theoretically travel at a maximum speed of 60 knots (over 110 km/h). Thanks to its two huge tanks of compressed helium, it's able to land on the water at any time and float at a speed of 5 knots (just under 10 km/h)

A genuine flying catamaran aimed at the very well-off, the aircraft features a spacious lounge and five suites for guest passengers. While the concept is generating buzz, a lot of money would need to be invested for this project to actually be realized.
