Against all odds, Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott haven't give up on their marriage just yet.
Though those closest to Spelling predicted she would slap her estranged husband with divorce papers at the start of the new year, an insider revealed the coparents are trying to work things out.
The 90210, Beverly Hills alum and the former Chopped Canada host are "going through a rough patch" and a "tough space," a source spilled to Entertainment Tonight. "It's been difficult for them."
While rumors about their "imminent" split have been circulating for months, the reality star couple is "attempting to work things out for the sake of their kids," the source reportedly claimed of their five children: Liam, 14, Stella, 13, Hattie, 10, Finn, 9, and Beau, 4.
News of the couple trying to repair their relationship comes weeks after Spelling spent New Year's Eve without the handsome hunk. The blonde babe spent the holiday in snowy Lake Arrowhead, Calif., with their children and posted several snaps from their trip, from which McDermott was noticeably absent.
The 55-year-old took to his respective Instagram account at the time to explain why he was MIA, telling his 136k followers he was "sick as a dog" with pneumonia.
Meanwhile, McDermott — who admitted to cheating on his wife in 2014 — was also visibly absent from the family's holiday card, which showed Spelling smiling alongside the couple's children and was signed by "Tori & Family."
Spelling and McDermott's complicated relationship has been a hot topic ever since the actress revealed last year she and her husband didn't sleep in the same bedroom. As photos of the two out and about sans their wedding bands made their rounds, insiders began dishing that things between them have been "very chilly" for a long time.
It's unclear whether the Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood alums will be able to salvage their marriage, as an insider spilled not too long ago to ET that they're still sleeping in separate rooms.
