Michael Madsen's 26-Year-Old Son Hudson Dead Following Suspected Suicide, Family Is 'Heartbroken'

Michael Madsen's son Hudson has passed away under tragic circumstances.

The late 26-year-old was living in Oahu, Hawaii, with his wife, Carlie, when he was unexpectedly found dead, although it is still unclear when exactly the tragedy occurred. A spokesperson for the Honolulu Medical Examiner confirmed to The Sun that the manner of his death is believed to be suicide by gunshot.

"I can confirm Hudson Lee Madsen, 26, died by a gunshot wound to the head in a suspected suicide on the island of Oahu," the spokesperson revealed to the outlet.

Hudson was the oldest of Michael's three children with wife DeAnna Madsen. The pair also share sons Calvin and Luke. Additionally, the Reservoir Dogs actor has two older sons, Christian and Max, whom he shares with ex-wife Jeannine Bisignano.

Hudson's family confirmed the tragic news to Metroon Tuesday, January 25, expressing their devastation over the tragedy. "We are heartbroken and overwhelmed with grief and pain at the loss of Hudson," the family wrote in a statement. "His memory and light will be remembered by all who knew and loved him."

"We ask for privacy and respect during this difficult time. Thank you," the grieving family concluded. Hudson's mom, 61, is reportedly traveling to Hawaii amid the heartbreaking situation.

According to People, Hudson was believed to be the godson of prestigious film director Quentin Tarantino, who worked closely with his dad on multiple films, including Kill Bill: Vol. 1 and 2.

Hudson is survived by his wife, Carlie, who recently expressed her gratitude for her husband's support as she underwent a surgery to remove a tumor. "I just want to give a shout-out to my amazing husband! Yesterday I had surgery to remove a tumor from one of my breasts and he was and has been so patient throughout this whole process," she wrote on Instagram just last week.

Carlie also previously opened up about the couple's difficult fertility journey, sharing with her Instagram followers that they were unable to have kids naturally and were instead turning to IVF.

"I'm only sharing this because it needs to be normalized and more talked about," she explained at the time. "So many women are probably feeling the pain and sadness that I am. So if you ever need to talk, I'm here. For absolutely anything! I'm here. We're both here."
