It’s only been a few months since Tom Cruise parted ways with ex-girlfriend and Mission: Impossible 7 costar Hayley Atwell, but an insider tells OK! he already has a new woman in his life.
“A few weeks ago, he was introduced to a beautiful British actress and was instantly hooked,” dishes the insider. Cruise, 59, who’s been hard at work in England rehearsing stunts forMission: Impossible 8, “wooed her with flowers and gifts and dinners at his favorite London restaurants.
“He completely swept her off her feet, even taking her on day trips aboard a plane that he piloted himself,” dishes the insider. “Tom has gotten lots of flack for being over-the-top when he falls in love, but he’s an incurable romantic.”
When the actor split from Atwell, 39, last September after a year of dating, “his self-esteem must have taken quite a hit,” confides the insider, noting that the Risky Business actor hasn’t been in a serious relationship since his marriage to Katie Holmes ended in 2012. (The actress reportedly did not want their daughter to grow up in the Church of Scientology.)
However, the insider says his new girlfriend isn’t fazed by his devotion to the controversial religion. “She thinks the world of Tom and has decided to immerse herself in the church,” spills the insider. “It’s totally of her volition, which has knocked the socks off him.”
While the Top Gun star is keeping his new romance close to the chest, the insider predicts the new woman on his arm could be the one. In fact, the actor’s kids Bella, 29, and Connor, 27 (with ex Nicole Kidman), have already met his new ladylove and gave her an enthusiastic thumbs-up.
“Tom downplays things and says he wants to enjoy this time with her away from the spotlight, but everyone is convinced he’s found the woman he wants to marry,” the insider adds. “No one has seen him this happy in a long, long time!”
