The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is by far the most expensive Jeep ever, challenging the likes of the Range Rover, G-Wagen, Lincoln Navigator, and Cadillac Escalade for top bragging rights in the luxury SUV segment. That being said, we can’t forget about the Wagoneer. The more mass-market version of the luxurious Grand Wagoneer aims to be a do-everything solution for Jeep customers that had to leave the brand because it simply didn’t have something big enough for them.
Buzz has been brewing over the Jeep Wagoneer lineup especially with the announcement of a long wheelbase Wagoneer to make it’s official debut later this year. The Wagoneer was originally only available in select pre-determined trims and options packages when order books opened up last March. According to a Mopar Insiders report, the baseline Series I version that was promised was not offered at the time and remained that way even after full ordering was opened up. Now, the addition of a Series I Wagoneer has finally hit the online configurator in the United States for a little more manageable price, but has inflated slightly from $57,995 USD to $58,845 USD. It’s marked at $61,845 USD for the 4×4 rendition.
The 2022 Jeep Wagoneer Series I is powered by an eTorque 5.7 liter V8 Hemi engine capable of producing 392 horsepower and 404 lb-ft of torque. In addition to the impressive horsepower the Wagoneer features fuel saving tech such as variable camshaft timing and cylinder deactivation as well as the eTorque system that provides even more fuel saving enhancements.
The 2022 Jeep Wagoneer Series I is pretty simple relative to its siblings. The Wagoneer Series II for example comes with some of the finer luxuries such as a heads-up display, air suspension, 2nd row captains chairs, and the advanced all-terrain package, albeit the bump in price is almost an $11,000 difference.
