COMPARED TO A LOADED F-150 RAPTOR OR RAM TRX, THE SILVERADO ZR2 IS A BARGAIN

While you can’t build and price your own 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZR2 pickup truck just yet, the dealers can. And thanks to YouTuber Brian Mello – who works at a Chevrolet dealer – we get a full breakdown on just how much you can load up Chevy’s most off-road capable half-ton truck to-date. Spoiler: it’s not a lot, and the top of the line comes well below what you can do with the Ford F-150 Raptor and Ram 1500 TRX, with lots of premium content standard on the Chevy truck.

The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 has a suggested MSRP of $65,420 and a total price of $67,115 after destination, freight, and optional paint color charges are applied, or $66,720 without the optional paint color showcased in the video. That’s a little more expensive than a 2022 F-150 Tremor and about the same in price as a base model 2022 F-150 Raptor which has an MSRP starting at $65,375. That being said, a loaded ZR2 will run you $73,340 including destination and freight fees. As such, a loaded Silverado ZR2 comes in at a price way under a fully loaded Raptor which goes well beyond the $80,000 mark, as well as a 702 hp Ram TRX which can exceed six figures when fully optioned.

2022 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2: Loaded Options And Pricing

The loaded ZR2 comes equipped with a tech package consisting of a rear camera mirror, 15-inch heads-up display, adaptive cruise control, and a power-tilt and telescoping power steering column, a $1,970 upgrade. You can add on another $995 for a power sunroof, $85 for the wheel locks, $445 for the multi-flex tailgate, underseat storage for an up charge of $285, and $1,150 for the rocker guards.

The base model ZR2 should feel more than capable of meeting an average buyers needs, as the hardware such as the Multimatic DSSV Dampers, Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires, locking front and rear differentials, and 6.2L L87 V8 engine with 420 horsepower are all standard no matter what.

Base 2022 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 content is a long list of fancy features of its own like 10-way leather power seats that are heated and ventilated, as well as a massive 13.4-inch infotainment display coupled with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster on the dash and a heated steering wheel to name a few.

Chevrolet will open 2022 Silverado ZR2 order books in late Q1 of 2022, with the online customer configurator expected drop in the coming weeks.
