Following the team’s 3-1 Champions League loss on Wednesday, Neymar used social media to deny all reports of a fight with PSG teammate Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The duo apparently had to be separated by teammates after, in the round of 16 second leg, PSG held a 2–0 lead with 30 minutes left before Karim Benzema’s 17-minute hat trick eliminated the French club.

A Donnarumma gaffe led to Benzema’s first goal, which was reportedly the catalyst of the altercation. After allegedly posting a screenshot of a Whatsapp conversation with the PSG keeper, Neymar went on to deny the story on Instagram.

“I hate coming here and talking about the news,” Neymar posted. “But that [story] from the last post is a lie. There was no locker room fight!!! Incompetent reporters who want to promote themselves, try next time ok?”

Other reports of intra-team tensions surfaced Wednesday: PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sporting director Leonardo allegedly went looking for the ref after the whistle and needed security to intervene after they found the ref’s room.
